Meet Robert H. Deaderick, Jr., Attorney at Law

Robert H. Deaderick, Jr. has brought aggressive, quality legal representation to personal injury victims and criminal defendants for more than 35 years.

This Firm is a results-driven, client-focused law office that takes pride in delivering 'personalized' services. Each client receives the benefit of Mr. Deaderick's considerable experience directly. Clients are not transferred to an 'associate' attorney as is sometimes the practice in larger firms. Mr. Deaderick listens carefully to clients, responds candidly to legal questions, conducts meticulous investigations and delivers effective advocacy.

Mr. Deaderick graduated from Virginia Military Institute, receiving a B.S. degree in Chemistry (1965), and Washington and Lee University, School of Law, where he took a J.D. degree (1972). Previously admitted to the Bars of Massachusetts (1973), New York (1977) and Virginia (1990), he has practiced law since 1972. Formerly he served as Public Defender in Boston (1972-1976) and Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York (1978-1982). He maintained a private practice in Manhattan until 1990 when he relocated to Fredericksburg where he founded this firm. While serving in the United States Army, Armor 1966-1968 and Army Reserves 1968-1972, he held the rank of Captain. He has prosecuted, defended and served on military court martial boards and enjoys benefit of special training in chemical warfare.

As a Virginia-born, Virginia-educated lawyer with a strong ethical heritage — a former public defender in one of the country's highest crime districts and assistant corporate counsel for our nation's largest city — he personalizes his expertise to fit your unique needs. As former military and graduate of VMI, he understands and appreciates the special mission and service of those in our armed forces.

'Bob' Deaderick is well respected for his leading roll as an active citizen: former Treasurer of the Frederickburg Area Bar Association; President, Rappahannock Rotary Club; Paul Harris Fellow; President, VMI Alumni Chapter; Director, Fredericksburg Area Regional Health Council, Inc. (Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic); Member, City of Fredericksburg Visions Committee; President, Fredericksburg Cotillion; Director, College Heights Swim Association; Coach, Cal Ripkin Baseball (U10) Associates.

A husband and father of three children, he belongs to the Presbyterian Church, is an avid Chesapeake Bay sportsman, enjoys an occasional cigar and diligently maintains an apiary as a Certified Beekeeper.
